Position: Field Operator – Pellet Plant • Location: Kaduna • Experience: 3-5 years Job Description: As a Field Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring equipment and process parameters within the pellet plant. Key Responsibilities: • Perform daily field rounds to monitor equipment and process parameters, including induration machines, balling drums/discs, conveyors, and gas/air systems. • Coordinate with control room operators to ensure smooth process flow and respond promptly to any operational abnormalities. • Supervise field activities during startup, shutdown, and emergency situations. • Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards and promote safe work practices among operators and contractors. Recruitment • Assist in routine checks and preventive maintenance by coordinating with the maintenance department and preparing equipment for isolation. • Maintain accurate shift logs, equipment checklist records, and production reports. • Provide on-the-job guidance to junior operators and contract workers. • Participate in troubleshooting of process issues and recommend improvements to optimize plant performance. • Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness in the field areas of the pellet plant. Qualifications: • Diploma / B.Sc / HND in Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field. • Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a pelletizing plant or similar process industry.
