JOB SUMMARY

The Network and Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and securing the company’s IT infrastructure and network systems to support the delivery of 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) and cybersecurity solutions. This role ensures the optimal performance, security, and scalability of network infrastructure and collaborates closely with the security, product, and engineering teams to deliver reliable authentication services.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION 

Infrastructure Management & Optimization

  • Design and implement scalable and secure network and server infrastructures (on-premise and cloud-based).
  • Monitor and maintain system uptime, availability, and performance across core infrastructure components.
  • Conduct regular capacity planning and infrastructure scaling based on business growth and user demands.
  • Optimize infrastructure costs through efficient resource allocation and cloud strategies.

Network Design & Administration

  • Configure and manage firewalls, and VPNs to ensure secure communication.
  • Ensure high availability and fault tolerance of network systems critical to 2FA services.
  • Perform network segmentation and implement best practices aligned with Zero Trust architecture.

Cybersecurity & Compliance

  • Implement infrastructure hardening and security protocols in line with NDPR, NITDA, and CBN requirements.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and patch management.
  • Monitor for threats using SIEM tools and assist in planning and responding to incidents and breaches.

Cloud and Virtualization Support

  • Manage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) hosting 2FA solutions.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Maintain virtual environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.

Collaboration & Documentation

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, DevSecOps, and product teams to align infrastructure with business needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on network topology, incident logs, configurations, and recovery procedures.
  • Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing across departments.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION/WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in IT infrastructure, network engineering, or cybersecurity roles.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls (e.g., Cisco, Check Point, Palo Alto), VPNs, and IAM systems.
  • Experience in Linux environments (e.g., CentOS, Red Hat) is preferred.
  • Experience with 2FA/MFA systems, audit preparation, and regulatory compliance (CBN, NDPR, NITDA).

SKILL/ COMPETENCY REQUIRED

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, and switching protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and architecture design.
  • Proficiency with firewall systems (Cisco, Check Point, Palo Alto) and IDS/IPS tools (e.g., Snort).
  • Familiarity with Linux systems (CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Strong scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Familiarity with configuration and monitoring tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage incident response and perform under pressure.

  • Network Uptime – Maintain 99.9%+ availability.
  • Incident Response Time – Rapid detection, resolution, and documentation.
  • Compliance – Fulfillment of NDPR, NITDA, CBN cybersecurity standards.
  • Infrastructure Performance – Network latency, throughput, and optimization.
  • Scalability – Infrastructure readiness for business expansion.
  • Disaster Recovery – Achievement of target RTOs and RPOs.
  • Audit Readiness – Minimal or zero non-compliance issues in audit cycles.
