Our client, a reputable International School located in Lagos(Mainland), is seeking a highly organized, discreet, and efficient Secretary to provide high-level administrative support to the Office of the Principal. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to manage sensitive information with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the Principal’s calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
- Handle all correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and letters.
- Draft, proofread, and dispatch official documents, memos, and reports.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and students’ reports (digital and physical).
- Organize meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes.
- Liaise with staff, students, parents, and external stakeholders on behalf of the Principal.
- Provide courteous and professional assistance to visitors and school stakeholders.
- Ensure the smooth running of the Principal’s office and oversee office supply needs.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Secretarial Studies, Office Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in an educational institution).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with automated office systems and equipment.
- Experience in a school setting will be an added advantage.
