JOB DESCRIPTION
- Employee in this job assist in completing a variety of tests, Employee must be knowledgeable in Phlebotomy and sample reception. Knowledge of molecular tests is an added advantage.
JOB DUTIES
- Collection/Phlebotomy of Blood samples from patient coming into the laboratory
- Travelling distances for sample collection purposes within and outside the town.
- Receive/collect urine, collect blood or other samples for experimentation and analysis.
- Marketing of Laboratory products and services to prospective Clients through various communication channels and visits.
- Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies.
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.
- Organize and store all chemicals substances, fluids and compressed gases according to safety instructions.
- Record all data and results in specified forms paper and electronic with accuracy and responsibility. Manage and operate laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory quality assurance and safety standards
Administrative Duties:
- Act as the front-line customer service support for incoming and outgoing calls from customers, clients, potential clients, and doctors/centers for lab results.
- Participate in all company\\\’s marketing and branding campaigns.
- Phlebotomy and sample reception skill is required
- Coordinate courier services and maintain professional and courteous behavior to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure proper housekeeping.
- Perform all duties and responsibilities with understanding and respect for the patient’s rights and strict confidentiality.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements / Qualification
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Required: registered with the Medical Laboratory Technician council of Nigeria
- Time management and organizational skills
- Record keeping skills
- Ability to keep information confidential
- Good listening and communication skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Patience, adaptability, dependability
- Knowledge of Molecular tests
- Excellent Phlebotomy and patient care skill
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks promptly.
- Proficient use of clinical laboratory information systems
EDUCATION:
- B.Sc./HND in Medical Laboratory Technology
EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent Phlebotomy, communication, Laboratory and interpersonal skills.
