Our Client is an International School located in Lagos (Mainland), seeking to employ dedicated and enthusiastic Digital Literacy Instructor who have a genuine passion for teaching and can create a positive and engaging classroom experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of teaching experience, a deep understanding of the Nigerian/British curriculum, and strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one coaching and support to help learners overcome barriers to digital literacy, such as limited prior experience or access to technology.
  • Use formative and summative assessment data to refine instruction and ensure alignment with CCRS standards and workforce readiness goals.
  • Instruct students on facets of Java, Python, C, Scheme, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, and other relevant technologies.
  • Instruct students on how computers work, including the basic science and mathematics behind their operation and the hardware and software built on those foundations.
  • Teach how to write computer programs, algorithms, and programming languages.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and school events.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess an HND / BSc/B.ED in relevant discipline.
  • Proven track record of preparing students for external examinations (WASSCE, BECE, UTME, IGCSE etc.)
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a reputable secondary school
  • Proficiency in the use of the interactive white board and deployment of ICT tools in teaching and learning
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A 21st-century educator with an innovative and creative teaching approach
  • Result-driven, goal-oriented, and passionate about student success
  • An adaptable learner with a teachable spirit
  • Well-groomed and professionally presented
  • Able to build and maintain excellent relationships with learners
  • IGCSE Certification is an added advantage.
