The Credit Analyst is responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of potential and existing clients, assessing risks, and recommending credit decisions that align with the company’s risk appetite and business objectives. The role involves detailed financial analysis, data interpretation, and providing actionable insights to support lending and credit operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough credit assessments and financial analysis of new and existing clients.
  • Analyze financial statements, cash flows, payment records, and market data to determine risk levels.
  • Prepare detailed credit reports with recommendations for approval, modification, or decline of credit applications.
  • Monitor existing credit portfolios to detect early warning signals and mitigate potential defaults.
  • Evaluate and suggest appropriate credit limits and terms based on risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with the sales, risk, and collections teams to ensure compliance with internal credit policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all credit analyses, decisions, and related documentation.
  • Participate in the development and refinement of credit scoring models and credit policy guidelines.
  • Stay informed on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices affecting credit risk.
  • Support in periodic review of credit policies and assist in audits or regulatory reviews.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of [2–5] years’ experience in credit analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role within the financial services sector.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, credit scoring tools, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nutrition officer at Jhpiego – John Hopkins University Location: Ebonyi, Kwara, Kano, Katsina and Kebbi States, Nigeria Jhpiego is seeking candidates for an upcoming project that implements and provides technical support to nutrition interventions across different health systems and disciplines in addition to communities. The project’s multi-sectoral approach draws on global nutrition experience to design, implement and evaluate programs that address the root causes of malnutrition. Committed to using a systems approach, the project strives to sustain positive outcomes by building local capacity and strengthening the enabling environment to save lives, improve health and build resilience. The overall purpose of the project in Nigeria is to provide technical support, implement innovative nutrition-specific and sensitive live saving interventions, and generate evidence to enhance nutrition programming toward achieving the overall goal of improving nutrition indices for women of reproductive age, young children and new borns. This activity will support the donor’s effort to strengthen the enabling environment for innovation, commitment, capacity strengthening, coordination, collaboration, and support for multi-sectoral nutrition policies and programs.
