Summary

  • This role involves leading and optimizing the company’s operational strategies, ensuring efficient and compliant processes, and managing cross-functional teams.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in merchant lending operations, process optimization, and risk management, with experience in merchant loan processing, team leadership, and business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end merchant loan operations, from application to disbursement and repayment.
  • Develop and refine operational workflows for speed and accuracy.
  • Monitor loan performance and flag risk or irregularities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Risk, Tech) to ensure process alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and develop a small team, driving high performance and accountability.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience, specifically managing large-ticket merchant loans (billions of Naira).
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment, financial modeling, and loan structuring.
  • Excellent understanding of Nigerian financial regulations and lending standards.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
