We are recruiting for a leading transport and logistics company with over 16 locations in Nigeria, seeking a General Manager to lead and manage the logistics and passenger transport arm of our business. This is a unique opportunity for a results-driven individual to operate as an independent business partner, overseeing operations, managing assets, and driving profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage logistics operations, including the management of trucks and shipment tracking, buses and passengers
  • Lead efforts to improve operational efficiency and optimize resources for maximum profitability.
  • Leverage digitization and technology to enhance logistics processes and operations.
  • Ensure the effective tracking, monitoring, and timely delivery of shipments.
  • Drive strategic initiatives to increase revenue and improve the overall financial performance of the logistics subsidiary.
  • Manage and develop a team of logistics professionals to achieve organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience managing logistics and passenger businesses, with a focus on operational excellence and digital transformation.
  • Proven entrepreneurial skills and a track record of driving profitability in a logistics or transport business.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
  • Deep knowledge of logistics processes, fleet management, and shipment tracking systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • A results-oriented mindset, with a passion for delivering value and achieving business goals.
