- Expertise in using CAD software for 3D modeling for sheet metal , design creation, and generating fabrication drawings is essential. Specific programs like SolidWorks, AutoCAD
- Depending on the specific role, knowledge of programming for numerically controlled machines is additional advantage important for translating designs into automated manufacturing processes
- The ability to read, understand, and interpret technical drawings and blueprints is crucial for translating designs into fabrication plans
- Experience with quality control and assurance processes in a manufacturing environment is valuable for ensuring the accuracy and precision of fabricated parts.
Effective planning, time management, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are important for meeting deadlines and ensuring smooth workflow.
