Monitoring and Evaluation Officers GENERAL INFORMATION: JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc. (JSI) is a public health management consulting and research organization dedicated to improving the health of individuals and communities throughout the world. JSI is currently implementing the Routine Immunization Project. The project’s overarching goal is to strengthen routine immunization programs to 1) sustainably overcome the entrenched obstacles contributing to stagnating and declining immunization rates in the supported states, and 2) address the barriers to reaching zero-dose and under-immunized children with life-saving vaccines and other health services.  The Project will provide technical assistance to support routine immunization strengthening in 5 states, applying a co-creation approach to improve equitable coverage with a focus on identifying, understanding, and reaching zero-dose and under-immunized children.  SUMMARY: As a member of the Routine Immunization Project’s broader MEL team, the Officer(s) will contribute to the MEL approach through advice on MEL tools, processes, and guidance. The position will maintain the Project’s results framework, get into the field for monitoring visits, collect a range of evidence, and evaluate the performance of various aspects of the Project. This role will convene Data review meetings with staff and other stakeholders to talk about results and how the project can improve its performance. He/she will also contribute to the project’s reporting to the donor, writing clear, concise reports on our development results. This position reports to the State Routine Immunization Lead. M & E and Commodity Security Organization: Jphiego Delivering Innovation in Self-Care (DISC) is a 3-year sexual and reproductive health (SRH) program that supports women to assume greater power and control over their SRH by using contraceptive self-care methods like DMPA-SC self-inject (SI). In partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH), and other implementing organizations, DISC 2.0 works in 325 health facilities across the 23 LGAs in Sokoto state, to implement demand generation and service delivery programs, care closer to women and amplifying their voice, choice, and agency. The successful candidates will work to support data collection, verification and reporting for the across DISC 2.0 sites in Sokoto State. S/he will work closely with the Data Analyst and State Program Coordinator in ensuring quality delivery of data validation meetings for both service delivery and demand generation data, timely entry of data to project-specific reporting instance, while adherence to standard operating procedure. They will also be expected to participate in data quality assessment visits. He/she will also work closely with the state LMCU to ensure commodity security in all project supported facilities. Responsibilities Successful candidates will work closely with the Data Analyst, State Program Coordinator, Snr. Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning Advisor, and other project staff. Provide technical support to LGA teams during data validation meetings. Liaise with Community volunteers to ensure timely reporting of community level data to project database. Responsible for data entry to project reporting instance such as DHIS2, JADE etc. Contribute to development of data collection tools. Participate in data quality assessments to project sites. Support project supported facility provider on proper documentation and reporting of FP services Liaise with the LMCU team to ensure proper quantification and timely submission of FP commodity requests to national to ensure commodity security. Carry out other assigned responsibilities Required Qualifications A degree in statistics, public health, information technology, social sciences or other related discipline. At least, two years’ experience in RMNCAH programming Experience and familiarity with national health management information system and/or DHIS2. Good computer skills, especially working knowledge of MS word, Power point presentation and MS Excel.
