The John Allan Foundation is excited to announce the launch of its new Funding Guidelines, aligning with its ambitious 2025-2030 strategy to advance well-being for people, society, and the planet. These guidelines reflect our commitment to supporting changemakers who are driving systemic change and addressing the world’s most pressing challenges.
Key Updates to the Funding Guidelines:
• Multi-Year Core Funding: Now available year-round with no application deadlines, providing sustained support for impactful organizations.
• Increased Grant Amounts: Grant amounts have increased to £180,000 (previously £150,000) over a 5-year period (up from 3 years), enabling greater impact and long-term sustainability.
• Broadened Focus: We have removed rigid funding categories to provide greater flexibility and support for innovative approaches that address complex challenges. Our focus is now on supporting changemakers driving systemic change.
Funding Priorities:
The John Allan Foundation will prioritize projects that address the following key areas:
• Addressing the Triple Planetary Crisis: Supporting initiatives focused on mitigating climate change, reducing pollution, and preventing nature loss.
• Fostering Trust and Political Participation: Investing in programs that build trust, reduce polarization, and increase civic engagement and political participation.
• Supporting Fairer Economic Systems: Supporting initiatives that promote fairer economic systems and reduce inequality.
• Advancing Equity and Justice: Funding projects that advance equity and justice for marginalized communities.
