Business Support Officer

Job Objectives

  • To provide business and operational support to other financial institutions (OFIs) such as micro-finance banks, mortgage banks, and other licensed entities.
  • It ensures seamless service delivery by managing onboarding, transaction monitoring, issue resolution, and relationship support, while collaborating with internal teams to maintain service standards and strengthen institutional partnerships.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support to OFIs on operational and service-related matters.
  • Assist with onboarding and integration of OFIs onto payment platforms.
  • Monitor transactions and settlements, escalating discrepancies for timely resolution.
  • Liaise with Technology, Operations, Risk, and Finance teams to resolve issues within SLAs.
  • Maintain updated records of OFI activities, complaints, and resolutions.
  • Support reconciliation, reporting, and periodic performance reviews.
  • Document and track OFI feedback for process and service improvement.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or any related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4years post NYSC

Key Competency Requirements:

  • Knowledge: Good knowledge of payment systems, OFI operations, and settlement processes.

Skill/Competencies:

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and relationship management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
