The OHCHR Indigenous Fellowship, launched in 1997 by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, is currently accepting applications for its 2026 program. This fully funded, four-week fellowship will take place in Geneva, Switzerland, in June/July 2026. Participants will receive training and gain in-depth knowledge of the UN system and its mechanisms, particularly those dealing with human rights and indigenous issues. This program aims to equip trained participants to better assist their organizations and communities. The training is available in five languages: English, Spanish, French, Russian, and Portuguese. Participants are being selected by the previous Indigenous fellows. The fellowship includes a fully funded package covering airfare, living expenses, and basic health insurance.
