Applications are now open for the Max Planck Internship 2026 in Germany. This is a fully funded internship for international students, offered by the Max Planck Institute for Informatics, Software Systems, Security, and Privacy. The internships are available in all areas of Computer Science. The Max Planck Institute is a prominent research institution located in Munich, Germany. Internships are open to exceptional students from around the world pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees. While interns can join and apply at any time throughout the year, most internships take place during the summer. All internships are fully funded, covering living costs, housing, and round-trip travel. The duration of each internship ranges from 12 to 14 weeks. The Program Covers:
No, knowledge of German is NOT required. All participating institutes use English as their working language.
As an intern, you will work closely with a research group at one of the participating institutes and be mentored by at least one faculty member.
If you are selected for an internship and need a Visa to come to Germany, Max Planck will provide the necessary documents to obtain the visa.
You will need to provide your CV, transcripts, contact information for at least one reference, and an optional motivation letter.
