We are recruiting for a leading transport and logistics company with over 16 locations in Nigeria, seeking a General Manager to lead and manage the logistics and passenger transport arm of our business. This is a unique opportunity for a results-driven individual to operate as an independent business partner, overseeing operations, managing assets, and driving profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage logistics operations, including the management of trucks and shipment tracking, buses and passengers
Lead efforts to improve operational efficiency and optimize resources for maximum profitability.
Leverage digitization and technology to enhance logistics processes and operations.
Ensure the effective tracking, monitoring, and timely delivery of shipments.
Drive strategic initiatives to increase revenue and improve the overall financial performance of the logistics subsidiary.
Manage and develop a team of logistics professionals to achieve organizational goals.

Requirements:

A minimum of 8 years of experience managing logistics and passenger businesses, with a focus on operational excellence and digital transformation.
Proven entrepreneurial skills and a track record of driving profitability in a logistics or transport business.
Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
Deep knowledge of logistics processes, fleet management, and shipment tracking systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
A results-oriented mindset, with a passion for delivering value and achieving business goals.
