Dalarna University Masters Scholarship Details:
Every year, Dalarna University awards partial scholarships to a number of its new international, fee-paying Master’s students who have proven themselves to be outstanding in their educational endeavours.
The Dalarna University Masters Scholarships go directly towards a reduction in your tuition fees and will cover between 10 and 50 percent of your total tuition fees.
The amount that you are awarded is automatically deducted in set amounts each semester over the duration of your programme.
Eligibility Requirements for Dalarna University Scholarship 2026
To be considered for the Dalarna University Scholarship, you must note the following conditions:
For Fresh Students
Tuition fee waivers are only available for studying a Master’s degree programme which is offered on-campus. You only need to apply once for your scholarship and you do this before the start of your programme.
- The deadline to apply for a scholarship for studies that commence in the spring 2026 semester is July 15th.
Scholarships for enrolled students
Dalarna University offers all students with outstanding academic results a reduction of their tuition fees for continued studies at Dalarna University. In order to qualify for this reduction of tuition fees you:
- Must have studied at least one semester (Master’s level) or two semester’s (Bachelor’s level) within a degree programme that is taught on campus at Dalarna University.
- Must be continuing the same degree programme for at least one more semester of full-time study.
- Must have achieved at least 50% results of VG, or a mix of 5 and 4 or a mix of A and B depending on the grading scale used. No courses can have final results lower than a 3 or C.
- Must have successfully completed all credits from the first semester/year by the time the scholarship decision is made.
- Must be verified as “outstanding” by the faculty in your programme.

Dalarna University offers two types of scholarships for new fee-paying students starting their studies in 2026 or later.
You may be eligible for two types of scholarship if you study at Dalarna University:
- The Choose Dalarna First Scholarship – a 5,000 SEK tuition reduction awarded at the time of admission to students who rank a DU programme first.
- The Academic Excellence Scholarship – awarded throughout your programme based on your results. This scholarship is guaranteed for all students who meet the academic criteria.
