Call for Applications: Capacity Development Program for NGOs, CSOs, and CBOs in BAY States

The El-Kanemi Memorial Foundation (EMF), in partnership with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) and the Borno State Agency for Coordination of Sustainable Development and Humanitarian Response (BACSDAHR), with support from the International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Plan International, is pleased to announce a Capacity Development Program (CDP) aimed at strengthening local organizations in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe States.

This initiative seeks to empower Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) operating in the BAY states to improve internal systems, accountability, and program effectiveness in line with global best practices.

Program Objectives:
Participants will receive high-impact training and technical support in key areas, including:

  • Donor due diligence and compliance
  • Safeguarding policies and practices
  • Financial management and accountability
  • 5Ws reporting and data management
  • Resource mobilization and grant sourcing

Who Should Apply:
Eligible NGOs, CSOs, and CBOs operating in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe States with a focus on humanitarian or development work.

As we prepare to commemorate this year’s International Youth Day (August 12th, 2025), The Productive Youths Development Initiative (PYDI) is inviting interested Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) within Sokoto State to collaborate with us in organizing impactful activities that will empower, educate, and celebrate the youth. We strongly believe that collective efforts yield greater impact. If your organization works in areas like youth development, education, health, gender equality, peacebuilding, leadership, or advocacy, we would be glad to have you on board.
