ANRML, a leading mining company and part of the African Industries Group, is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Operator to join our Pellet Plant team in Kaduna. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our backward integration strategy for steel production and be a part of a growing organization.

About ANRML:

Incorporated in 2012, ANRML is committed to backward integration for its steel production and has acquired mining and exploration licenses for various minerals across 15 sites. Exploration activities are ongoing.

Position: Field Operator – Pellet Plant

•  Location: Kaduna

•  Experience: 3-5 years

Job Description:

As a Field Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring equipment and process parameters within the pellet plant.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Perform daily field rounds to monitor equipment and process parameters, including induration machines, balling drums/discs, conveyors, and gas/air systems.

•  Coordinate with control room operators to ensure smooth process flow and respond promptly to any operational abnormalities.

•  Supervise field activities during startup, shutdown, and emergency situations.

•  Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards and promote safe work practices among operators and contractors.

Recruitment

•  Assist in routine checks and preventive maintenance by coordinating with the maintenance department and preparing equipment for isolation.

•  Maintain accurate shift logs, equipment checklist records, and production reports.

•  Provide on-the-job guidance to junior operators and contract workers.

•  Participate in troubleshooting of process issues and recommend improvements to optimize plant performance.

•  Ensure proper housekeeping and cleanliness in the field areas of the pellet plant.

Qualifications:

•  Diploma / B.Sc / HND in Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical Engineering, or related field.

•  Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a pelletizing plant or similar process industry.

Freelance job

•  Sound knowledge of pellet plant processes (drying, balling, induration).

•  Familiarity with DCS/SCADA-based operations and basic instrumentation signals.

•  Working knowledge of safety standards (e.g., LOTO, PTW systems).
