About the job:

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting our strategic financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and examine financial records, reports, and statements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ledgers.
  • Process payroll and statutory deductions (e.g., tax, pension).
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor budget implementation and expenditure control.
  • Ensure timely remittance of taxes and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain an up-to-date asset register and depreciation schedule.
  • Provide financial insights to aid decision-making and strategy.
  • Support annual audits and liaise with auditors.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CPA (an added advantage).
  • Minimum of 2 years proven work experience as an Accountant.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho, or Tally).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Results-oriented and proactive in solving financial issues.
  • Familiarity with local tax laws and statutory reporting in [insert country].
