Our company is a fast growing leading company in the fintech/oil and gas sector. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to manage/oversee the financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) with a strong background in financial management, statutory compliance, and corporate governance. This role requires excellent financial modeling, budgeting, and reporting skills, along with proficiency in various accounting software and Microsoft Office tools.
Salary: 250,000- 280,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and risk management.
- Ensure timely and accurate statutory compliance, including tax filings, regulatory reports, and audits.
- Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
- Review and authorize company payments, payroll, and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
- Oversee financial audits and ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Implement strong internal control measures to prevent fraud and financial mismanagement.
- Ensure proper documentation and recording of financial transactions using accounting tools like QuickBooks, Sage, DocuWeb, etc.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Develop financial forecasts and management reports to aid in business planning and decision-making.
- Ensure proper bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and accounts analysis.
- Monitor and mitigate financial and operational risks associated with the company’s activities.
- Ensure compliance with all local and international financial regulations.
- Develop and implement best practices in financial management to improve the company’s financial health.
- Manage multiple projects and ensure financial efficiency in their execution.
- Supervise the finance team to improve overall efficiency.
- Maintain a well-structured document management system for financial records.
- Oversee procurement, vendor negotiations, and contract management to optimize costs.
- Assist the executive team in making informed financial decisions based on business trends and financial analysis.
- Lead forecasting activities with business partners to achieve financial and strategic goals.
- Conduct financial modeling and risk assessments to optimize business profitability.
- Provide strategic insights on financial performance and recommend cost-saving measures.
Key Requirements:
- Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, and administration.
- Strong negotiation and financial modeling skills.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, DocuWeb, and other accounting tools.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results within deadlines.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
- Must be able to provide police clearance for criminal records verification.
