We are urgently seeking a diligent, responsible, and experienced Security Guard to join our team in Surulere, Lagos as Security guards.
Accommodation: Available
Work Schedule: Full-Time (Shift work may be required)
The primary role is to ensure the safety and security of the premises, personnel, and assets. Your duties will include:
- Access Control: Monitoring and controlling the entry and exit of staff, visitors, and vehicles.
- Patrols: Conducting regular, thorough patrols of the entire premises (internal and external) to detect and prevent unauthorized activity, hazards, or maintenance issues.
- Surveillance: Watching surveillance cameras (CCTV) and monitoring alarm systems.
- Incident Response: Responding immediately and effectively to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations (including medical emergencies or fire outbreaks).
- Reporting: Accurately documenting daily activities, shift handover notes, and any incidents or irregularities observed in a detailed security report log.
- Enforcement: Ensuring all visitors and staff adhere to company rules and safety regulations.
- Deterrence: Maintaining a visible, professional presence to deter criminal activity and ensure order.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Proven work experience as a Security Guard or relevant position is highly preferred.
- Integrity: Must be trustworthy, professional, and maintain a high level of integrity and ethical conduct.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with the public and writing reports.
- Physical Fitness: Must be physically fit and capable of prolonged standing, walking, and executing patrol duties across the property.
- Availability: Must be reliable and available to work flexible shift patterns, including nights and weekends.
