Store Keeper

Job Objectives
- The Store Keeper will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining the company’s inventory of construction materials, equipment, and supplies across real estate project sites.
- This role ensures that all materials are accurately recorded, safely stored, and efficiently issued to support uninterrupted project execution.
- Acting as a key link between procurement, logistics, and site teams, the Store Keeper helps maintain operational efficiency, cost control, and accountability in material management.
Roles and Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Receive, inspect, and record deliveries of materials, equipment, and supplies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records using manual logs and digital inventory systems.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, stored, and organized for easy identification and retrieval.
Documentation and Record Keeping
- Prepare and maintain records of goods received and issued to various departments or project sites.
- Update inventory databases with stock movements, receipts, and adjustments.
Coordination and Communication
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and project teams to ensure timely supply of materials.
- Monitor material usage on-site and provide feedback to project managers on consumption trends.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers and transporters to track deliveries and resolve supply issues.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage, deterioration, or loss.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the store area.
- Comply with company policies, safety guidelines, and inventory control procedures.
- Assist in implementing waste reduction and resource optimization practices.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve stock management systems and operational efficiency.
- Support digitalization initiatives for inventory tracking and material requests.
- Participate in periodic reviews to enhance transparency and accountability in material management.
- Working knowledge, skills and competencies and attributes
- Strong organizational and inventory management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
- Good communication and coordination skills for effective interaction with procurement, logistics, and site teams.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced project environment.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and reliability in managing company assets.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of a Diploma or OND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in storekeeping, warehouse operations, or inventory control (preferably in a construction or real estate environment).
- Proven experience in maintaining accurate stock records and supporting project logistics.
