Key Account Executive

Job Summary

  • We are looking for a proactive and reliable Key Account Executive to oversee sales and payment collections from key customers within the Idumota market and surrounding areas in Lagos.
  • This role requires someone with in-depth knowledge of the terrain, excellent communication skills, and a strong sense of accountability.

Job Description

  • Manage and grow relationships with existing key accounts-distributors, sub-distributors, and wholesale buyers.
  • Drive product sales, stock availability, and brand visibility across your assigned territory.
  • Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain clean account records in line with company credit policies.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform sales strategy.
  • Conduct regular field visits to build rapport, address issues, and follow up on pending invoices.
  • Provide daily/weekly reports on sales performance, collections, and outstanding accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer disputes or account discrepancies.

Job Requirements

  • HND / B.Sc Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or key account management, especially in open drug markets.
  • Strong familiarity with the Idumota market and its business dynamics is essential.
  • Proven ability to drive collections and maintain healthy customer relationships.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet targets.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
