The Applications are now open for the Erasmus Mundus GEM Scholarship 2026/28. It is a fully funded 2-year master’s scholarship in Europe in the Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation for Environmental Modelling and Management. This master’s degree program is prepared by four European universities in Belgium. Netherlands, Sweden, and Estonia. The Erasmus GEM Program is funded by the European Commission and is open to candidates from around the world. There is no application fee, and participants from all backgrounds are eligible. For the 2026/28, around 18 Erasmus+ scholarships are available. Graduates of this program will be awarded a double degree. More details are below.

When you apply, you first choose one of the study tracks. There are four tracks to choose from. Each year is spent at a different university in a different European country, depending on the track you choose.

Eligibility Criteria
Open to all nationals.
You must have a Bachelor’s degree, or be a final-year Bachelor’s student at the time of application.
No specific academic background is required; applicants from technical, social, or computing fields are welcome.
There is no age limit for applicants.
You are welcome to apply even if you already hold a second (Master’s) degree.
It is no longer necessary to provide a motivation letter, reference letters, or a provisional research topic.
