MOPGA stands for “Make Our Planet Great Again.” This is the 9th edition of the MOPGA Fellowship, which aims to invite 60 early-career researchers from around the world to carry out research in France. The MOPGA Visiting Fellowship 2026 is fully funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the French Ministry for Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, and implemented by Campus France. Duration of the MOPGA Fellowship
The Duration of the Fellowship is 12 Months. The MOPGA 2026 Visiting Research Fellowship will start in September 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
- The MOPGA Fellowship is open to nationals of all countries (except France).
- No Nationality restriction.
- 60 fellowships will be provided.
- Applicants must not hold French citizenship.
- Applicants must be early-career foreign researchers who received their doctoral degree within the last 5 years (thesis defense must have occurred between December 2020 and December 2025).
- Applicants must not have resided in France for more than 90 days between September 12, 2025, and December 12, 2025.
Description of the Research Project
When choosing the Research Area, include these things:
- Research Project Title
- Keywords (6)
- Abstract of the Research Project (2,000 char. max.)
- Context and Motivation (2,000 char. max.)
- Scientific Objectives (2,000 char. max.)
- Methodology and Timeline (4,500 char. max.)
- Project position in relation to the MOPGA scientific domain (2,000 char. max.)
- Collaborations and/or impacts for the candidate’s country of origin or residence in relation to the research project proposal (2,000 characters max.)
Required Documents
- CV including the list of your publications in English (4 pages max)
- PhD Diploma (or certificate of PhD diploma)
- CV of your research supervisor in the French host institution (2 pages max)
- Letter of support from the French host institution
- Letters of recommendation (3 max)
- Passport or proof of ID.
