Finance Analyst

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, forecasts, income statements) in line with business goals
- Contribute to capital allocation decisions and investment performance analysis
- Assist in the annual budgeting process across departments and business units
- Develop rolling forecasts and perform variance analyses to guide financial decisions
- Work with department heads to ensure budget alignment with strategic objectives
- Track budget performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure adherence to IFRS, GAAP, and local financial regulations
- Analyze financial trends and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Monitor compliance with SEC, NSE, and other regulatory bodies
- Support internal audits and coordinate with external auditors
- Contribute to liquidity planning, cash flow forecasting, and working capital optimization
- Maintain relationships with banks, custodians, and financial institutions
- Collaborate with portfolio managers and trading teams to align financial operations
- Participate in driving automation and process improvements across finance functions
- Stay current with industry trends and financial best practices to drive innovation in analysis and reporting
EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA
EXPERIENCE
- 3–5 years of proven experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role.
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with ERP systems and BI tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and present insights clearly to stakeholders
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office, and financial software applications
- Proven experience in statistical analysis and statistical packages.
