- We’re looking for a Solutions & Research Engineer to join our Engineering Division. This role blends technical support, infrastructure design, and cutting-edge research to deliver high-performance solutions across our retail network.
Your Responsibilities:
- Restore service failures (Corporate: <4hrs, Retail: <24hrs)
- Design and implement FTTH monitoring applications to improve fault recovery
- Conduct preventive maintenance and optimize network uptime
- Research and implement new technologies to enhance ipNX products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric solutions
- Prepare and maintain network documentation, MOPs, and performance reports
- Provide technical support across provisioning, installation, and surveillance
Your expected qualifications:
- BEng in Computer Engineering, Electrical Electronics, or related IT field (2.2/Upper Credit minimum)
- 3+ years experience in FTTH, OSP/ISP fiber infrastructure, and network support
- Certifications: CCNA, CCNP (AWS, CISSP, CCDP, CCIE are a plus)
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN design, routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, RIP), and core network device configuration
- Experience with CAD, GIS, DWDM, and network monitoring tools
- Proven ability to present technical concepts and manage stakeholder expectations
