Purpose of the Fellowship

This fellowship aims to enable individuals to utilize Harvard’s exceptional resources and expertise to address pressing environmental challenges. Fellows work for two years with Harvard faculty members in any school or department.

Financial Benefits

The Fellowship covers:

• Salary: $90,000 per year
• Employee Health Insurance
• Relocation Reimbursement: Up to $2,500
• Travel and Professional Expenses Allowance: $2,500 annually
• Office Space.

Eligibility Criteria 

• The Harvard University Environmental Fellows Program is open to anyone from any country with any citizenship.
• The fellowship is open to recent doctoral applicants. Candidates must have a doctorate or comparable terminal degree awarded between May 2022 and August 2026.
• The Candidates must propose a research project and find a supervisor to establish a relationship with a Harvard faculty member to host their research.
• Submit a Letter of recommendation.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Applicants who hold a master’s degree are not eligible to apply.
• This program is for post-doctoral or recent recipients of a PhD.
