In 2015 the company was granted approval in principle by The Central Bank of Nigeria for a Unit Microfinance Bank. On the 14th of March 2016, TF Microfinance Bank was incorporated with a fully paid authorised share capital of twenty million Naira.

Role Description
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Recovery Officer located in Nigeria. The Recovery Officer will be responsible for monitoring and managing overdue accounts.
- Daily tasks will include contacting customers to arrange debt payback, negotiating repayment schedules, maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and payment plans, and preparing reports on collection activities.
- The officer will also collaborate with other departments to resolve overdue issues and ensure adherence to the bank’s recovery policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience in debt recovery, debt collection, and loan management
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Proficiency in using debt collection software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance in the microfinance sector
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience in customer service or banking is a plus
