Finance & Account Officer

We are seeking an experienced and professional Finance & Account Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing budgets, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
This role requires a proactive individual who is proficient in accounting software, highly analytical, and able to support the organisation in making sound financial decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, balance sheet, income satement and cash flow.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor cash flow, expenditures, and internal controls.
- Ensure timely tax computation, remittance, and compliance (PAYE, VAT, WHT, etc.).
- Work closely with external auditors and tax authorities when required.
- Analyse financial data to identify trends and make recommendations.
- Support management with financial insights for strategic decision-making.
- Maintain a good and professional relationship with the internal and external stake holder including client and employees
- Perform other accounting task as required by the organisation
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a finance/accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar).
- Strong understanding of Nigerian financial regulations and tax compliance.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
