Job Summary:
Support the hotel’s accounting function through accurate and timely recording, reconciliation, reporting, and compliance tasks. This entry-level role offers exposure to hotel-specific accounting processes and general ledger practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Process daily transactions (cash, cards, bank deposits) and reconcile with system records
- Post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for month-end close
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, guest folios, and petty cash
- Assist in P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement preparation
- Coordinate accounts payable/receivable: process invoices, chase payments, resolve discrepancies
- Support payroll administration, including tax deductions and vendor remittances
- Maintain fixed assets register, depreciation schedules, and inventory records
- Adhere to VAT, PAYE, and other statutory accounting requirements
